Nero Burning ROM/Express stays at splash screen and can't start. What can I do?

If Nero Burning ROM or Nero Express only a splash screen but no application window, please check if there is any disc drive not working on your computer. Nero Burning ROM may fail to start when such disc drive exists.

You can disable all your disc drives to check.

How to disable disc drive:

1. Press the Windows key + R key to bring up the Run box on your system.

2. Enter "devmgmt.msc" and click OK button to open Device Manager.

3. In Device Manger, find your disc drive and disable it. Right click on Computer -> Properties -> Device Manager. Expand DVD/CD-ROM drives, right click on the drive and select Disable.
